George Horne called up by Scotland

George Horne’s impressive form for Glasgow Warriors has earned him his first ever international call up.

Gregor Townsend has called Horne up to his 40-man squad following a breakthrough first season as a professional from the 22-year old.

The scrum-half has scored ten tries so far this campaign and has twice been voted the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month by supporters.

Also called up are Fraser Brown, Alex Dunbar and Zander Fagerson making it a total of 18 Warriors in Townsend’s squad.

All three missed out on original selection due to injury but have fully recovered and are available for selection against Ireland in Dublin this weekend.
