Alex Dunbar

Alex Dunbar is a gifted, hard-running centre, whose performances have seen him become a key figure for both Glasgow Warriors and Scotland.

He had represented Glasgow at every age level from U14 to U18 before initially signing for the city's professional team in 2010 and quickly settling into the Scotstoun set-up.

Having signed a contract extension with the club in 2013, he was included in the Pro12 Dream Team after his performances in the 2013/14 season

Alex was the Annan RFC's u18 player of the year in both 2005/06 and 2006/07.

The former pupil of Lockerbie Academy graduated in 2008 with an HNC from the Scottish Agricultural College at Auchincruive in Ayrshire.

He has played for Scotland at under-20 and 7s level and made his Scotland A debut against England Saxons in Newcastle in February 2013, helping his side to an historic first-ever win over the Saxons on English soil.

Dunbar's international debut came against Samoa at the quadrangular tournament in South Africa in 2013, with his first try coming two weeks later against South Africa in Nelspruit.
